Cornerstone Assistance Network is the grantee for Senior Corps’ Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Tarrant County through the Corporation for National and Community Service. This program focuses on engaging individuals 55 and over to positively impact their communities by “Leading with Experience.” RSVP is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over. With over 500,000 people strong in Senior Corps, volunteers can use skills and talents they’ve learned over the years, or develop new ones while serving in a variety of volunteer activities within the community.

Focus Areas for Tarrant County

Healthy Futures
We assist with meeting health needs within communities including access to care, aging in place, and childhood obesity. We work with the Tarrant Area Food Bank and other community partners in helping provide access to nutritious food, and with Meals on Wheels to provide meals, support, and encouragement to seniors. We will work with community garden programs to provide fresh produce to our neighbors. Also, we will help provide transportation to seniors and those living with disability to help them maintain a high quality of life and connection to the community.
